Gorgeous botanical printed wool/silk blend scarf by Nancy Evans, in pink, soft green, rust and beige colors. Also called eco-printing or eco-dyeing, botanical printing is the process of wrapping and steaming plant material onto fabric to create various patterns and prints. The dye material is placed onto the fabric with flowers, leaves, bark, branches or seeds, and then folded and wrapped around a pole or tied into a bundle. When heat or steam is applied, the colors release onto the fabric, transferring the shapes of the plant material directly into the fibers. With layers of ferns and a variety of leaves, this elegant scarf may quickly become your favorite accessory.
Made from a wool and silk blend, featuring leaves of eucalyptus, maple, rose, sumac, blackberry, horse chestnut, cosmos, and fern.
