Beautiful framed artwork by Christine Pellerin, featuring a great blue heron among the lilypads and reeds, made from colored needle felted wool! Christine uses commercially-dyed, unspun wool fiber and “paints” it onto a base of wool or wool/synthetic blend felt fabric using a barbed needle. She then hand sews the completed piece onto a foam core mounting board before framing. Intentionally framed without using glass, her work beautifully showcases the soft supple textures of the fibers as well as the incredibly detailed image. Best displayed out of direct sunlight.
