Products from Peregrine Woodworks are designed to come in contact with food (bowls, cutting boards, utensils, etc.) and are finished with food-safe oils, resins, and waxes. Just wiping with a dry or damp cloth is often all that is necessary. May be washed with dish soap, but over time, that will remove the finish. If wet, dry with a towel immediately. Do not soak wood in water or leave it wet in a rack to dry. Periodic re-coating with a food-safe oil and natural wax product (like Howard Butcher Block Conditioner) will revitalize the wood and provide protection.
